Our 2010 RBUMC JAM SESSION

This awesome event will happen in the chapel on January the 10th at 6:30pm.
We invite each of you to come out and support this home grown concert of friends and
church family as we share in the Love of Music and the gathering of friends. Last year
we had about 10 people share in playing instruments from Sax to Trumpet to Flute,
from Bass to Drums, to Guitars and Piano with Singing. This year, we will draw on a
core of songs from Tommy and Meg and the Red Bank Rockers, have some special
performers (like Jim and the Harseys) and have other persons cameo through the night.
If you play and instrument, have written a song or would like to sing or play along, please
contact Rev. Wilkes ASAP to get on board.

The offering for this concert will go ½ toward the Children’s Ministry of RBUMC and
½ toward the Youth Ministry of RBUMC, so come out and support this time of fellowship
and giving.

Practice will be on Sunday, January 3rd at 3pm.

How to tell your story!

In January we will have a few training sessions at various times designed to help people
learn to share their stories (witness for Christ) with strangers and/or close friends or
family. The Rev. Tim Burelson will help lead us in “how to tell your story” by breaking
down our witness into smaller chunks (45 seconds) for people to be able to hear and
grow from our testimony.

Tentative Dates and Times - January 31st at 10am in the parlor and the other
alternative time that afternoon at 3pm in the parlor for those who don’t want to miss
Sunday School. Please make an effort to share in this time and Discipleship and training.

Thanks Tim, for being willing to lead us in this area of ministry.

~ Joy and Peace Rev. Thomas B Wilkes III
